We are currently working with a colleague in making some Finished or Unfinished, Assembled Grandfather Clock Cases Available in lieu of the kits. This will still afford you some customizations in the finishing process without completely having to build from scratch for those who do not wish to undertake such a project.

The "Orleans" floor clock evokes the era of 19th century France when the absolutism of the monarchy gave to the rise of "the Citizen King," Louis Philippe (1830-48), whose rule saw the nation prosper and the ascendancy of the middle class. In furniture, the most striking elements of the Louis Philippe style are the very clean, simple lines and wide ogee. Feet and brackets terminate in scrolls, and hardware was used sparingly. All these element were incorporated in this timeless design. The "Orleans" model shows a graceful play of straight and curved lines. The crown molding, which echoes the base, gently swoops toward the center, with the upper section of the door echoing it, while below, the inside bottom door shape reflects this curve.
Easy to Assemble Case Kit
Our F15E kit contains all the components required to complete the case with the exception of glass. The door is pre-assembled and all hardware, fasteners, screws, waist door lock and height adjusters are included. The kit features precut mitred joints with all parts cut and rabbeted as necessary. Clearly written instructions, large exploded diagrams and a parts list are included, making completion of this case a straight forward project.
Matching Components
The orleans can house any of the Grandfather series Hermle movements. Recommended dial is DJR300, and pendulum HGP5 in Satin Nickel Finish (components sold separately of kit).
