The PHDPD Hi Torque Pendulum Drive Case is meant to drive larger pendulums (floor clock sized) when using a quartz movement, where the quartz movement can't drive the larger pendulum on its own.
The PHDPD Pendulum Drive is recommended for use with pendulums that have a disc size up to 6-1/2".
